We are figuring this out. There are many rules and guidelines we need to follow in order to meet in-person this semester. With distancing and rules about when we can and cannot wear masks, we are adapting our set-up so that we can provide the best experience for both ourselves and our audience. Stay tuned for a video coming soon!
Merry Christmas from 3-2-1 Winds! We had a lot of fun putting this video together. Fall 2020 is virtual for 3-2-1 Winds and we wrapped up our virtual tour today featuring videos we made including this recording of Wapango by Paquito D'Rivera. We had a great time interacting with the students from each of the schools! Here's something you probably haven't seen before! Since we have to play 20 ft. spacing, we decided to make a unique recording of Malcom Arnold's Three Shanties. We recorded a 360-degree video that you can interact with on our Facebook page: fb.watch/59X8e_l9Sa/. Just be careful you don't get too dizzy trying to follow the melody across the ensemble. We also posted the 'ultra wide screen' version to our YouTube which we will present at our first Virtual Tour presentation today. We are planning a fun project that requires us to meet in-person. This is the first time we have seen each other since last March and its so much better than zoom!
Our last multitrack recording from Spring 2020, the first movement of Hindemith's Kleine Kammermusick! We wish we could have performed the piece live in it's entirety, but we're still glad we were able to put together this video. Check out our trailer video for the group! We spent our time in quarantine sorting out our plans for next semester and making this video for you all. Here's another quarantine recording we put together! We're really missing playing live as a group, but making these videos are reminding us of how much fun we have performing together. With some trial and error, 3-2-1 Winds has put together our first recording from several states apart! Here is one of the pieces we had planned for a performance this semester, the first movement of Ewazen's Roaring Fork. |
