Tracy CollinsFluteFlutist Tracy Collins never thought she would discover a passion for music. It was through her many opportunities to perform that she developed a love for flute repertoire. She made her New York debut when she was awarded a full fellowship to the Long Island University Post's Chamber Music Festival; she won the concerto competition and performed as a soloist on Reinecke's Flute Concerto, Mvmt. II. She also performed in the Festival Orchestra as principal flute and was a highlight of multiple chamber groups. Tracy was also featured on a master-class held by world renowned composer and flutist, Ian Clarke
Currently pursuing a MM in Flute Performance at the University of Delaware, Tracy serves as the flutist with the Graduate Woodwind Quintet, a post she won through a highly competitive audition process. While chamber music is a particular passion, her future plans also include a solo and orchestral career. |
Brooke Van VeenOboeBrooke Van Veen discovered her love for oboe in the seventh grade on accident when she thought she would be learning bassoon. A native of Jefferson Township, New Jersey, Brooke has performed in over 25 musicals in high schools throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania as well as with various theatre companies. She has spent time working privately with music theory professors to create a semester long research project entitled Modern Application of Modes in Radiohead Music. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in oboe performance at the University of Delaware, where she performs with the Graduate Assistantship Wind Quintet 3-2-1 Winds and the Symphony Orchestra. Brooke graduated in 2018 from Lebanon Valley College with degrees in Audio and Music Production and Music with concentrations in Oboe Performance, Music Theory, and Composition.

Tyler TashdjianClarinetTyler Tashdjian hails from East Providence, Rhode Island and is a multi-woodwind instrumentalist who has experience with flute, oboe, clarinet, and saxophone. Tyler serves as a Sergeant in the Rhode Island Army National Guard and is enlisted as a flutist in the “Governor’s Own” 88th Army Band for which he holds an Army Achievement Medal. Previously, Tyler maintained a woodwind studio at the Knapp School of Music in South Kingstown.
As a chamber musician, Tyler performs regularly with 3-2-1 Winds and his trio: Red Treble. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Rhode Island in Clarinet Performance with additional studies on tenor saxophone and a minor in Geosciences. At the University of Rhode Island, he was selected as the winner in both the 2017 and 2018 concerto competitions. Tyler is currently enrolled at the University of Delaware where he is pursuing a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance. At the University of Delaware, Tyler holds a graduate assistantship position for his membership in the Graduate Wind Quintet, 3-2-1 Winds. |
Gabby SwackhamerHornA native of Indiana Pennsylvania, Gabrielle Swackhamer has been able to find much success in her brief time playing horn. Having begun her horn playing career during her senior year of high school, Gabby has achieved high levels of experience through performance at national and international venues. Outside of the United States, she was a participant in the Domaine Forget Summer academy in Quebec, Canada. She has also made appearances with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Altoona Symphony Orchestra, and Johnstown Symphony Orchestra. Gabby has spent several summers at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Twin Lake Michigan, where she was a Unit Director, Cabin Counselor, and Unit Counselor.
Gabby has competed in multiple competitions as a soloist and within a chamber group. She received first place in the Delta Omicron Solo Competition and has been a finalist in the Butler Symphony Concerto Competition, as well as awarded second place in the MTNA Young Artist competition. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Horn Performance and is working toward finishing her Music Education degree. Gabby is thrilled to be working with John David Smith at the University of Delaware as she pursues her master’s degree as well as perform with 3-2-1 Winds. |
Joshua NordlandBassoonJoshua Nordland is a bassoonist and native of Columbus Pennsylvania. His most recent appearances include performances with the Western New York Chamber Orchestra and the Warren Philharmonic. Joshua has previously performed with the Lynchburg Symphony, the Waynesboro Symphony, and the Liberty University Symphony Orchestra as well as several other regional orchestras. Joshua also performs with numerous chamber ensembles. Most recently, Joshua is a member of 3-2-1 Winds, the Graduate Wind Quintet at the University of Delaware. Formerly, Joshua was a member of the Liberty University Wind Quintet. Joshua received his Bachelor of Music from Liberty University in Bassoon Performance and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Bassoon Performance from the University of Delaware where he was awarded a graduate assistantship position in the Graduate Wind Quintet.
